Welcome to UPC! We are so glad you’re on our website, and we hope to meet you soon. Below are some “Need to Knows” that should answer some immediate questions you might have. Feel free to browse around the rest of the website to learn more about us!
What should I expect on Sunday morning?
Our Sunday Worship Service is starts at 10:30am . Our services usually run about an hour, and are a blend between traditional and contemporary music. Please feel free to dress comfortably for worship. We have a wide mix of people who are a part of our church, and you’ll feel right at home wearing anything from shorts, to jeans, to business casual.
When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our Ushers and invited to sit anywhere that is comfortable for you. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions or if there is any way that we can make you feel more at home. You are welcome to bring activities to help your children be more comfortable, or to move about with them during worship. We also have large print bulletins and radios to assist those who may have difficult hearing available at our Welcome Center.
What will my kids do on Sunday?
Our Christian Education Team takes great care in providing the highest quality weekend worship programming for children of all ages. We strive to create environments that are both safe and celebratory of the child’s age and stage of life. Our teachers and staff undergo background checks and regular training and equipping to ensure that the very best care is being provided for the children at all times. We love what we do and the children we get to work with!
Nursery care is provided for children birth – 4 years of age during our Sunday morning worship service. On a typical Sunday children age 4 through grade 5 join us for the first part of worship, and then are invited to participate in Kid’s Own Worship for the remainder of the service. Of course, your child is welcome to stay with you for the entire service if that works better for your family.
During the school year, Christian Education is offered for children, youth and adults at 9:30am. Children 4 and up enjoy music, story time, teaching and games. For more information about programming, please contact the church office.
Peace of Music
For those who would prefer a more intimate and casual worship experience, we now are offering a second service on Wednesday evenings after Peace of Bread. Focusing mostly on music and prayer, this service runs from about 6:15 to 7pm, and you are free to come and go as you please.
