Youth at UPCoW . . .

We think that having a youth group is extremely important because it’s a place where kids can be kids and not have to deal with the influences and pressures of daily life.  We can build our relationship with God. Youth Group helps us grow our faith. It teaches us how to navigate relationships with family, friends.

Youth Are involved in Bible Study and Fellowship Activities

The youth meet with Rev. Dr. DeHoff for Bible study  on the first and third Sundays of each month from noon to 1:00 PM, and they meet for fellowship activities with Rachel Cullinane of the Blackstone Valley United Methodist Church at the same time on the second and fourth Sundays. The Bible study curriculum being used is the Faith Questions series published by the Presbyterian Church (USA).  This series is a study/discussion format for young people that involves participants in exploring the relevance of biblical teachings to their lives today. During the pandemic all meetings are virtual.

Youth also participate in service projects, such as decorating shut-ins’ assisted living apartments for Christmas.
