We believe that children are an important part of God’s family, and we strive to include them in all aspects of church life. Throughout the year we have various service opportunities for them, and love to include children in worship and ministry. We offer a number of different growth opportunities as well, and long to instill in our children the same passion for faith that we all strive for. Below are some of the different Children’s Ministry programs that we offer.
We now offer a FREE after school program on Wednesdays from 2:30-5:30pm for children ages 5-12. The program is designed to provide a safe, welcoming environment for children during the critical after-school hours and includes a snack, a share-your-day time, crafts, games, and a Bible lesson. This is an interactive worship time for kids in pre-k to forth grade, and is the main way that we help our kids grow in their faith. Kid’s Own Worship is a fun and interactive way for kids to learn about God’s love for them and includes a time of music, story telling, crafts and games. Children are encouraged to join us at 10:30 am for the beginning of our Worship Service, and then are invited to go downstairs for their own time of worship and learning. Kids are of course welcome to remain in worship with their parents if they prefer, and a Quiet Room is available in the back of the Sanctuary if families need a little bit more space to get comfortable.
Professional nursery service is available during worship for children up to age 4. We also have a quiet room in the back of the sanctuary that you are welcome to use, and please feel free to move about during worship as you are caring for your children. It is such a joy to have young children in worship, and we want you to feel at home when you are with us.
Our church participates in the Ecumenical Vacation Bible School that is sponsored by the Northbridge Association of Churches. This year’s VBS will be on July 20-24, 2020 from 9am to noon at the Pleasant Street Church. Open to children age 4 through sixth grade, this is a fun way for kids to start their summer and grow in their faith.
