Piece of Peace January 2017

December is always a very busy month for us at Peace of Bread Community Kitchen. We saw many more people looking for assistance. Our food pantry & free clothing were filled & emptied a few times while trying to keep up with the needs of the hundreds of people we help.
Thankfully we were blessed with very generous donations of food, funds & clothing which enabled us to in turn bless so many folks. God is good.
The highlight of the month of December for the Peace of Bread volunteer team is always our Free Christmas Shopping Night. Two rooms filled with brand new toys, games, dolls, stuffed animals, clothing, gift cards & much more were generously donated from corporate sponsors and people from our community who support this amazing night. Santa’s Elves were on hand once again to wrap all the gifts after the parents & grandparents shopped for their families. It’s a crazy incredible night! Over a hundred & fifty people were blessed beyond expectations by this wonderful giving night.
We would like to specifically thank Woonsocket Glass Fabricators, Lynn from BJ’s & South Central Crossfit for their very generous donations to our Christmas shopping night. The joy, tears of happiness and genuine gratitude we saw expressed over the gifts touched our hearts. Thank you to all the individuals from our church, volunteer groups & community who also donated all year long to our efforts. It is always an amazing blessing to serve alongside you all. May God bless you with health & His peace in the New Year.
